Role Description The Owner at IEEE WIE UPC in Surat is responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and values. This full-time, on-site role involves setting long-term goals, managing budgets and resources, and supervising committees or project teams to deliver programs and events effectively. The Owner will foster partnerships with academic institutions, industry stakeholders, and community organizations, while promoting initiatives that advance diversity, inclusion, and professional development in engineering.

Day-to-day tasks include planning and reviewing activities, monitoring performance metrics, resolving operational issues, supporting volunteer engagement, and representing IEEE WIE UPC at meetings, conferences, and public events.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated leadership and organizational management skills, with experience overseeing teams, programs, or initiatives.
- Robust strategic planning and decision-making abilities, including setting goals,



managing budgets, and prioritizing resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, professionals, partners, and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in event or program management, including planning, coordination, and execution of on-site activities.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and alignment with IEEE WIE UPC’s mission to support individuals in engineering.
- Ability to work full time on-site in Surat, managing multiple responsibilities with integrity and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, technology, management, or a related field; prior experience in student organizations, NGOs, or professional societies is an advantage.
- Familiarity with IEEE, WIE, or similar professional organizations, and comfort with using digital tools for documentation and coordination.
