Job Profile: Senior Developer – Shared Services Reconciliation

Location: Bangalore, India

Preferred experience: - 7.1-9 years The Role:

The Senior Developer will be responsible for end-to-end development, enhancement and maintenance of reconciliation applications within a CIB environment. The role will involve requirement analysis, data mapping and validation, Unix Shell and AWK scripting, Oracle SQL/PLSQL development, performance optimization, testing, release management, production support and coordination with business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

· Take ownership of the complete SDLC for new reconciliation requirements, including requirement analysis, data mapping, development, testing, deployment and release management.

· Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective application solutions.

· Perform data mapping, data validation and reconciliation-related development activities.

· Develop and maintain applications using Unix Shell and AWK scripting.

· Develop complex Oracle SQL/PLSQL components including packages, procedures, functions and triggers.

· Perform SQL/PLSQL performance optimization using Explain Plan, Profiler, Hints and Partitioning techniques.





· Analyze existing applications and perform impact analysis for BAU changes and enhancements.

· Estimate development effort and deliver enhancements with minimal impact to existing systems.

· Perform unit, integration and UAT support activities and coordinate defect resolution.

· Support release management, production issues, audits and peer code reviews.

· Collaborate with APS teams on PTask and BAU activities and proactively manage technical dependencies.

· Identify and communicate risks, issues and dependencies to technical leads and managers.

· Work closely with developers, end users, support teams and other stakeholders to resolve functional and technical issues.

· Prepare technical and functional specifications and maintain development documentation.

· Provide regular project and activity status updates to managers, end users and leadership.

· Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and resolution of application performance bottlenecks.

· Follow Agile methodology and organizational coding, security and quality standards.

· Support extended/stretch working hours when required by business needs.

Must - Have Qualifications:

· 5–9 years or higher of relevant software development experience.

· Strong hands-on experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.

· Strong hands-on experience in AWK scripting for data processing, extraction, transformation and validation.

· Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, preferably Oracle 12c/19c.





· Hands-on experience developing PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions and triggers.

· Strong knowledge of SQL/PLSQL performance optimization, including Explain Plan, Profiler, Hints and Partitioning techniques.

· Experience in end-to-end SDLC, including requirement analysis, development, unit testing, integration testing, UAT, deployment and production support.

· Experience in application enhancement, BAU support and impact analysis.

· Experience working with Git-based version control, preferably Bitbucket or GitHub.

· Knowledge of Sonar/SonarQube for code quality and static code analysis.

· Experience working with JIRA and Agile development methodology.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Good experience coordinating with developers, end users, support teams and other stakeholders.

· Experience preparing technical and functional documentation.

· Knowledge of defect management and issue resolution.

· Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience working in the Reconciliation domain, including reconciliation processing, data matching, break identification, exception handling and validation.

· Exposure to Banking, Financial Services or Capital & Investment Banking (CIB) environments.

· Knowledge of Perl scripting for automation and application/data processing.

· Experience with defect management tools and defect lifecycle processes.

· Strong exposure to Oracle database performance tuning in enterprise applications.

· Experience with Bitbucket/GitHub, Sonar/SonarQube and JIRA in an enterprise development environment.
