We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our healthcare team, where you will play a vital role in assessing visual health and providing essential eye care services. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations and visual assessments using specialized equipment such as autorefractometers, slit lamps, and fundus cameras.
- Perform precise refraction and retinoscopy procedures to determine accurate eyeglass or contact lens prescriptions.
- Operate applanation tonometers and A-Scan devices to measure intraocular pressure and axial length for diagnostic purposes.
- Execute keratometry and HVF (Humphrey Visual Field) tests to evaluate corneal curvature and visual field integrity.
- Administer RT tests and other vision assessments to monitor ocular health and detect potential abnormalities.
- Provide clear and empathetic counseling to patients regarding their vision conditions, treatment options, and preventive eye care strategies.
- Utilize I care software and other digital tools to manage patient records and streamline clinical workflows.
Requirements
- Possess a foundational understanding of vision science and eye anatomy suitable for entry-level practice.
- Demonstrate proficiency with key optical instruments including autorefractometers, slit lamps, applanation tonometers, and fundus cameras.
- Have practical knowledge of core optometric procedures such as refraction, retinoscopy, keratometry, and A-Scan measurements.
- Be capable of interpreting HVF results and conducting RT tests to support diagnostic accuracy.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to effectively counsel patients and explain complex eye health information.
- Show familiarity with clinical documentation systems like I care.
- Hold a relevant degree or certification in optometry with 0 to 1 year of practical experience.
