We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our healthcare team, where you will play a vital role in assessing visual health and ensuring patient well-being. This position focuses on delivering high-quality eye care services, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to evaluate vision and ocular conditions. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vision assessments and eye examinations using specialized equipment such as autorefractometers and slit lamps.
- Perform precise refraction and retinoscopy procedures to determine accurate corrective lens prescriptions.
- Execute applanation tonometry and fundus photography to monitor intraocular pressure and retinal health.
- Utilize A-Scan and keratometry techniques to gather essential biometric data for contact lens fitting and surgical planning.
- Administer and interpret Humphrey Visual Field (HVF) tests to detect and monitor visual field defects.
- Provide clear,
empathetic counseling to patients regarding their diagnosis, treatment options, and vision care strategies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all clinical procedures adhere to established safety and hygiene protocols.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 0 to 1 year of hands-on experience in an optometry or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrate proficiency with key instruments including autorefractometers, slit lamps, applanation tonometers, and fundus cameras.
- Show robust competence in clinical techniques such as refraction, retinoscopy, A-Scan, and keratometry.
- Have practical experience conducting HVF tests and RT tests for visual field analysis.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex eye conditions to patients effectively.
- Display a solid understanding of vision care principles and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient service.
- Hold relevant qualifications in optometry or a related field, with a focus on practical application of skills.
