Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Long Haul International Travel Operations professional to handle FIT and MICE requirements across destinations such as Europe, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Current Zealand, Japan and other long-haul markets.

The role requires strong destination knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to manage complex itineraries and high-value clients.

Key Responsibilities

FIT Operations

- Handle international FIT files from confirmation through completion.
- Design and coordinate detailed multi-city itineraries.
- Coordinate hotels, apartments, transfers, rail, sightseeing, activities, cruises and other travel services.
- Manage special requests, upgrades and VIP arrangements.
- Verify all supplier confirmations and travel arrangements.
- Handle amendments, cancellations and rebookings efficiently.

MICE Operations

- Handle international corporate groups, incentive programmes, conferences and events.
- Coordinate rooming lists, transportation, meals, activities, events and group movements.
- Develop detailed day-wise operational programmes.
- Coordinate with overseas DMCs and local suppliers.
- Support pre-departure planning and onsite execution.
- Handle last-minute changes and operational challenges during group movements.

Complex Itinerary Management

- Coordinate multi-country and multi-city itineraries.
- Manage intercity flights, trains, coaches, ferries, cruises and private transfers.
- Ensure correct sequencing of hotels and services.
- Check travel times, operating days, seasonal closures and destination-specific restrictions.
- Ensure itineraries are practical and operationally feasible.

Supplier & DMC Management

- Maintain strong relationships with overseas DMCs, hotels,



transport companies and activity suppliers.
- Obtain competitive rates and negotiate value additions.
- Compare multiple supplier options for quality, price and suitability.
- Develop destination knowledge and supplier intelligence.

Commercial Responsibilities

- Prepare and verify detailed costing.
- Maintain required gross margins.
- Negotiate rates and inclusions.
- Coordinate supplier payments and booking deadlines with accounts.
- Ensure all commercial commitments are documented.

Client Servicing

- Understand and communicate client preferences clearly.
- Handle VIP/HNI requirements with attention to detail.
- Coordinate special requirements including Indian vegetarian/Jain meals, accessibility requirements, room preferences and celebrations.
- Provide operational support before and during travel.

Preferred candidate profile

- 48+ years of experience in international travel operations.
- Strong knowledge of Long Haul destinations.
- Experience handling FIT as well as MICE/groups.
- Strong understanding of Europe and/or USA/Australia/New Zealand/other long-haul markets.
- Experience with multi-city and multi-country itineraries.
- Strong supplier/DMC network would be an advantage.
- Excellent costing, negotiation and communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple files simultaneously.
- Experience with booking platforms, supplier extranets and travel technology preferred.
