Job Summary

Ark Group is seeking a driven and experienced Operations Manager to lead the setup and commissioning of our Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant in Telangana. This is a pivotal, ground-up role where you will own all operational aspects of the plant from inception - working closely with the CBG Head to build a high-performing, efficient facility from the ground up. This role is well-suited to a hands-on operations professional with a strong execution mindset who thrives in greenfield environments and is comfortable working in office as frequently as the project demands.

Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end plant setup activities, including civil, mechanical, and utility coordination.
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers to ensure timely project milestones.
- Develop and implement plant layout plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols.
- Oversee equipment installation, testing, and commissioning in coordination with technical teams.
- Plan and manage day-to-day operations across all plant functions - production, maintenance, logistics, and utilities
- Monitor production KPIs and operational metrics identify gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, environmental guidelines, and safety requirements.




- Build and manage on-site teams including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Report directly to the CBG Head with regular updates on progress, risks, and key decisions.
- Coordinate with government authorities, local bodies, and utility providers for clearances and approvals.
- Manage vendor contracts, procurement schedules, and budget adherence in consultation with the CBG Head.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact at the plant site.

Requirements

- 5-8 years of experience in plant operations, manufacturing, or industrial project management.
- Proven track record of managing plant setup or greenfield projects from the ground up.
- Strong background in operations management.
- Willingness and ability to travel to the Telangana plant site as required.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field).

Skills

- Familiarity with CBG plant processes - feedstock handling, anaerobic digestion, and gas purification.
