Roles & Responsibilities

- Incident, problem, service request management, change management, configuration management and capacity management of WAF setup
- Assist in day to day BAU MACDs and configuration changes
- Proactively utilize existing tools to isolate events before service degradation occurs
- Supporting incident monitoring and incident analysis/response initiatives
- Coordinate with users to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution for trouble tickets
- Troubleshoot layers 1, 2, and 3 of the OSI model
- Troubleshoot network, transport, session, presentation and application layers
- Apply security patches with understanding of change control and rollback
- Conduct daily performance checks on devices, periodic audits and compliance
- Perform immediate troubleshooting for network outages as reported by users, sensors, and operational personnel
- Implement and maintain network security policy, standards, and procedures
- Deploy and maintain access and security policies for WAF solutions
- Maintain service levels and oversight of day-to-day configuration, administration and monitoring of network security infrastructure in a 24/7 NOC
- Coordinate with OEMs for TAC support, RMA, replacement and reconfiguration of WAF
- Device configuration backup as per agreed schedule
- Maintain service levels for all incidents received in the respective queue
- Location: Mumbai / Navi Mumbai (client location IDFC office)
- Role is part of IDFC project
- Candidate will be employed by the company but stationed at client location
- F5 WAF certification preferred

Interview process: Virtual, 3 technical rounds (for IDFC project)

Ideal Candidate

- Strong WAF / Network Security Profile with hands-on WAF solution management
- Mandatory (Experience 1):



Must have 2+ years of overall network security experience, with at least 2 years managing WAF solutions, including product knowledge of a WAF solution
- Mandatory (Experience 2): Must have experience in incident, problem, service-request, change, configuration, and capacity management of a WAF setup, assisting with day-to-day BAU MACDs and configuration changes, and maintaining SLAs for incidents in the queue.
- Mandatory (Experience 3): Must have experience using existing tools to isolate events before service degradation, supporting incident monitoring/response, resolving trouble tickets with users, and performing immediate troubleshooting for outages.
- Mandatory (Tech skill 1): Must have proficiency in WAF management across Windows, Linux, and Unix environments, with knowledge of policies, exceptions, and scripting.
- Mandatory (Tech skill 2): Must have experience with packet capture, analysis, and troubleshooting tools across OSI Layers 1–3 (network, transport, session, presentation, application).
- Mandatory (Skill): Must have experience applying security patches (with change-control / rollback understanding), maintaining network security policies/standards, deploying WAF access/security policies, daily performance checks, audits/compliance, OEM coordination (TAC, RMA, reconfiguration), and scheduled config backups.
- Mandatory (Domain): Banking-industry experience preferred; strong candidates with the same technical experience from another industry are acceptable.
- Mandatory (Note): Must be comfortable with a 24/7 NOC rotational shift workplace at the client site (IDFC Bank, Airoli, Navi Mumbai), able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Mandatory (Communication): Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with flexibility to learn and adapt.
- Mandatory (Certification): F5 WAF Certified Professional.

Experience: 2–4 years · Work from office · 6 days a week · Notice period up to 30 days
