About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior L3 Network Operations Engineer specializing in Routing & Switching, SD-WAN, and Zscaler to join our dynamic team at Movate. In this pivotal role, you will serve as an escalation point within our NOC (Network Operations Center), handling complex incidents related to enterprise network infrastructure, cloud security, and SD-WAN solutions. Reporting directly to the NOC Lead L3 Engineer, you will leverage your technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues, support the operational stability of client networks, and mentor junior engineers.

This role is primarily remote, supporting our EMEA clients during standard business hours, with occasional participation in after-hours activities for major incidents or planned maintenance.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in network operations, with a strong background in enterprise routing and switching, SD-WAN technologies, and Zscaler cloud security solutions.

Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, or equivalent are highly desirable. Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex network issues,



handling high-severity incidents, and guiding teams through technical investigations is essential. Familiarity with ITIL processes, ITSM tools like ServiceNow, and automation scripting (Python, PowerShell) will be advantageous.

Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively in a quick-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

- Act as the primary escalation point for complex network, SD-WAN, and Zscaler incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal service disruption.
- Diagnose and analyze issues originating from endpoints, network infrastructure, identity management, firewalls, ISP, SD-WAN, and Zscaler components.
- Support and mentor L2 engineers during advanced troubleshooting, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Lead technical investigations during major incidents, particularly P1 and P2 cases, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Provide expert L3 support for enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, SD-WAN, and Zscaler services such as ZIA and ZPA.
- Manage incident lifecycle, including service requests and changes, adhering to defined SLAs and operational standards.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and overall service health, proactively identifying potential issues.




- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to facilitate incident resolution and ensure service continuity.
- Participate in change validation, maintenance activities, and post-change troubleshooting to ensure seamless operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring and high-impact incidents, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides, operational runbooks, and knowledge base articles to support ongoing operations.
