Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer with CCNA certification who has solid knowledge of IP networking, network design, troubleshooting, routing, switching, firewalls, DNS and cloud networking. The engineer will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise and service-provider network infrastructure. The candidate should be comfortable diagnosing network issues from Layer 1 through Layer 7 and working independently during incidents.

Key Responsibilities

Network Design & IP Networking

* Design and maintain LAN, WAN and cloud network connectivity.

- Strong understanding of IPv4/IPv6 addressing and subnetting.
- IP address planning and subnet design.
- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, trunks and inter-VLAN routing.
- Understand network topology and prepare network diagrams.
- Work with static and dynamic routing.
- Troubleshoot packet loss, latency, jitter and connectivity issues.

Routing & Switching

* Configure and troubleshoot routers and managed switches.

- Strong understanding of:
- TCP/IP
- VLAN / 802.1Q
- STP/RSTP
- LACP / EtherChannel
- Static Routing
- OSPF
- BGP fundamentals
- NAT/PAT
- ACL
- DHCP
- ARP
- Perform router/switch configuration backup and restoration.
- Troubleshoot interface, routing and Layer-2 connectivity problems.

Firewall & Network Security

* Configure and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls.




- Manage firewall policies and security rules.
- Configure and troubleshoot:
- NAT
- Access Control Lists
- Site-to-Site VPN
- Remote Access VPN
- IPsec
- Network segmentation
- Analyze firewall logs and identify blocked or abnormal traffic.
- Basic understanding of IDS/IPS and network security principles.
- Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos or similar platforms is an advantage.

DNS, DHCP & Core Network Services

* Strong understanding of DNS architecture and troubleshooting.

- Troubleshoot DNS resolution using tools such as nslookup and dig.
- Understand A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, PTR and TXT records.
- Configure and troubleshoot DHCP.
- Understand public/private DNS, recursive DNS and authoritative DNS concepts.
- Troubleshoot DNS, gateway, routing and internet connectivity issues.

Network Troubleshooting

Candidate should be comfortable using:
- Ping
- Traceroute
- MTR
- Wireshark
- tcpdump
- nslookup
- dig
- netstat / ss
- Telnet / SSH
- curl
- SNMP tools

Should be capable of performing packet-level troubleshooting using Wireshark/tcpdump.

The engineer should be able to systematically isolate issues across:

Device → LAN → VLAN → Gateway → Firewall → Routing → DNS → WAN/Internet → Application

Cloud Networking





Working knowledge of cloud networking, preferably AWS, Azure or GCP, including:

- VPC / VNet
- Subnets
- Route tables
- Security Groups
- Network ACLs
- Internet/NAT Gateway
- VPN connectivity
- Public and Private IPs
- Load Balancers
- DNS
- Hybrid cloud connectivity

Network Monitoring

* Monitor network devices, interfaces and connectivity.
- Understand SNMP, ICMP and Syslog.
- Monitor bandwidth, CPU, memory, interface utilization, latency and packet loss.
- Configure and respond to network alerts.
- Experience with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds or similar NMS platforms is desirable.
- Perform basic network performance and capacity analysis.

Technical Skills

Must Have: CCNA-level networking knowledge, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, VLAN, routing, switching, NAT, ACL, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall configuration, Linux networking basics and network troubleshooting. Good to Have: OSPF, BGP, Wireshark, SNMP, Syslog, AWS/Azure/GCP networking, Grafana/Prometheus, network automation and Python/Ansible basics.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Telecommunications or related discipline.

- CCNA certification preferred.
- 2–5 years of hands-on networking experience.
- Experience configuring physical routers, switches and firewalls.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a NOC/operations environment and handle production incidents.
- Good documentation and communication skills.

Pay: ₹9,711.11 - ₹48,220.12 per month
