Role Description This is a full time, on-site role for a Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse based at Prince Hospital in Sikar. The nurse will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates and children, including continuous monitoring of vital signs, administering medications, and managing advanced medical equipment. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with pediatric and neonatal intensivists, implementing care plans, performing clinical assessments, and responding to emergencies.
The role also involves supporting families with clear communication, education about treatment and recovery,
and emotional guidance. The nurse will adhere to hospital protocols, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in quality and safety initiatives within the NICU and PICU.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in Pediatric Intensive Care and Critical Care Nursing, with experience in managing critically ill children.
- Specialized competence in Neonatal Intensive Care, including monitoring newborns, administering treatments, and handling neonatal equipment.
- Solid foundation in Nursing and Medicine relevant to pediatric and neonatal critical care, including knowledge of protocols and evidence-based practices.
- Valid nursing registration/license and completion of a recognized nursing program (GNM, B.Sc. Nursing, or equivalent); post-basic or critical care certification is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with families, and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Familiarity with infection control, patient safety standards, and emergency response procedures in intensive care settings.
- Prior experience in NICU/PICU or tertiary care hospitals is highly preferred; willingness to work in rotational shifts.
