Mobile Application Developer (React Native) | FreJun | Remote | Full-Time

Position Overview

FreJun is looking for a React Native Developer to build and maintain our cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android. You will take features from idea to App Store and Play Store release, working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to ship fast, reliable, and user-friendly mobile experiences.

- Features ship on time, with clean and maintainable code
- Apps run smoothly on both platforms, with fewer bugs and better performance
- Releases to the App Store and Play Store go out without friction

Key Responsibilities

App Development

- Build and ship cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android using React Native
- Develop new features and improve existing app functionality
- Integrate REST APIs, third-party libraries, and SDKs
- Turn designs into clean, intuitive, and responsive user interfaces

Quality & Performance

- Debug, troubleshoot, and fix issues across both platforms
- Optimize app speed, memory usage, and scalability
- Write testable code and take part in code reviews

Collaboration & Release

- Work with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to define and deliver features
- Handle App Store and Play Store builds and submissions
- Keep up with new mobile technologies and best practices

Required Qualifications

Experience





- 1-2 years of professional experience building mobile apps with React Native
- At least one app published on the App Store or Play Store (or a working project we can review)

Skills

- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React Native
- Experience with Redux and Redux Toolkit
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs with backend services
- Understanding of iOS and Android development basics
- Knowledge of mobile UI/UX best practices
- Comfortable with Git and version control
- Basic understanding of performance optimization and memory management
- Familiar with the App Store and Play Store submission process
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Clear communication and the ability to work well in a team

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with WebRTC, SIP, push notifications, or other real-time communication technologies
- Experience with native modules and bridging in React Native
- Exposure to native Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift/Objective-C)
- Experience with testing tools like Jest, Detox, or React Native Testing Library
- Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
