Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mining Engineer role based in Durgapur.

The Mining

Engineer will design and implement mine plans, including short-term and long-term production schedules, to optimize coal extraction while maintaining safety and environmental standards. Daily responsibilities include monitoring mining operations, analyzing geological and production data, and coordinating with operations, safety, and maintenance teams to ensure efficient use of equipment and resources. The role involves preparing technical reports, reviewing compliance with local regulations and company policies,



and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in mine design and productivity.

The Mining

Engineer will also support risk assessments, participate in site inspections, and provide technical guidance to on-site staff.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in Mining Engineering and coal mining operations, with a solid understanding of coal geology and extraction methods.
- Candidates should possess mine planning skills, including pit design, scheduling, and optimization for both short-term and long-term production.
- Candidates should possess analytical skills to interpret geological data, production metrics, and safety information to support operational decisions.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of mining safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in coal mining.
- Proficiency with mining software and tools used for planning, design, and data analysis is beneficial.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional site teams.
- Previous on-site mining experience, especially in coal operations, is an advantage.
