Meter Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an Energy Meter Test Engineer to handle end-to-end testing, calibration, and validation of smart and conventional energy meters.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform testing of energy meters, including metrology, power calculation, load profiling, and tamper detection.
- Conduct calibration of single-phase and three-phase energy meters.
- Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues during testing and validation.
- Perform CT testing, including ratio, burden, polarity, and saturation checks.
- Conduct relay performance and protection functionality testing.
- Validate meter communication using DLMS/COSEM (IEC 62056).
- Test Modbus RTU/TCP communication and MQTT/IoT-based data integration.
- Ensure testing complies with BIS and IEC standards.




- Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories such as NABL-accredited labs, CPRI, and ERDA.
- Prepare test cases, meter samples, testing documentation, and review certification reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in energy meter testing, calibration, or metrology.
- Practical experience with single-phase and three-phase energy meters.
- Working knowledge of DLMS/COSEM, Modbus RTU/TCP, and MQTT.
- Familiarity with BIS/IEC standards and NABL-accredited laboratory processes.
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Exposure to smart metering and IoT communication protocols will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
