Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Merchandiser – Business Development professional with strong experience in the home décor and handicraft export industry.

The role will involve developing new international business opportunities while independently managing merchandising activities, from product development and costing to sampling, buyer coordination and order execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop new business opportunities with international buyers, buying houses, sourcing agencies and overseas customers.
- Identify potential buyers and maintain professional relationships to support business growth.
- Handle merchandising activities from product development to order execution.
- Develop and manage product ranges across home décor and handicraft categories.
- Prepare detailed product costing, pricing and commercial quotations.
- Coordinate with buyers regarding product specifications, designs, samples, pricing and timelines.
- Conduct buyer negotiations and follow up on business opportunities.
- Coordinate with design, sourcing, production and quality teams for smooth order execution.
- Manage sampling, approvals, product development and production follow-ups.
- Ensure timely communication and coordination throughout the order cycle.
- Monitor buyer requirements, market trends and product opportunities in the home décor export segment.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective and existing international customers.
- Support customer acquisition and contribute to new order generation.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–8+ years of relevant experience in Home Décor / Handicraft Export Merchandising is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of international export merchandising and buyer coordination.
- Practical knowledge of product development, costing, pricing and negotiations.
- Experience working with international buyers, buying houses or sourcing agencies.
- Robust understanding of sampling, sourcing, production and order execution.
- Excellent communication, presentation and follow-up skills.
- Ability to independently manage merchandising and business-development activities.
- Proven experience contributing to new customer acquisition or order generation will be an advantage.
- Candidates should demonstrate a consistent and relevant professional background.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
