Role Description The Medical Reviewer is a full-time, on-site role located in the Pune Division, responsible for evaluating medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and external guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing clinical case files, verifying diagnoses and treatments, assessing medical necessity, and preparing transparent, structured summaries and recommendations.

The role involves coordinating with physicians, hospitals, and internal teams to clarify clinical information, resolve discrepancies, and support claim adjudication or service approvals.

The Medical

Reviewer also contributes to quality assurance activities, helps identify patterns that may signal clinical or documentation issues,



and supports the implementation of established medical review protocols. This position requires adherence to confidentiality standards and a consistent focus on patient safety and ethical practices.

Qualifications

- Relevant medical qualification such as MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS, BSc Nursing, or equivalent clinical degree.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and standard treatment guidelines.
- Experience reviewing medical records, clinical documentation, or health insurance claims is preferred.
- Ability to interpret diagnostic reports, prescriptions, discharge summaries, and investigation results.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English; knowledge of local languages in Maharashtra is an advantage.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to make evidence-based decisions under time constraints.
- Comfort working with computer-based systems, electronic medical records, and standard office software.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and commitment to patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and maintain positive working relationships with external stakeholders.
