ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for enthusiastic Media Lab Incharge who can introduce students to the world of journalism, multimedia and digital media.

The candidate will be responsible for teaching journalism and media-related skills to students up to Class 7, developing appropriate curriculum, and making learning practical, creative and engaging.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Teach the fundamentals of journalism to students up to Class 7.
- Develop and implement an appropriate journalism and media curriculum.
- Teach Print Journalism, Radio Journalism, Multimedia and Digital Journalism.
- Train students in basic photography, videography, interviewing, scripting, reporting and content creation.
- Teach students the fundamentals of social media content creation.
- Guide students in shooting and editing photographs and videos using relevant multimedia tools.
- Encourage students to create their own stories, reports, interviews, podcasts, videos and other media projects.
- Introduce students to responsible and ethical use of social media and digital platforms.
- Conduct practical, activity-based media projects and workshops.
- Mentor students in public speaking, presentation and communication skills.
- Keep the Media Lab active with regular student projects and content.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

- Graduate in Journalism / Mass Communication or a related field.
- Good understanding of journalism fundamentals and media practices.




- Knowledge of multimedia production and social media content creation.
- Familiarity with photography, videography and basic video editing tools.
- Good command over spoken and written English.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working with children up to Class 7.
- Creative, energetic and willing to experiment with new formats and ideas.
- Good understanding of current social media trends and platforms.
- Presentable personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

PREFERRED PROFILE

- Young media skilled with an active interest in digital media and social media.
- Experience in creating content for Instagram, YouTube or other social platforms.
- Preferably a small content creator, influencer or an aspiring influencer with an understanding of personal branding and digital audiences.
- Prior experience in teaching, training, workshops or working with children will be an advantage.
- Someone who is comfortable being on camera and can confidently engage students.
- Passion for storytelling, journalism, technology and emerging media.

IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate should be more than a traditional journalism teacher — someone who can bring the newsroom, radio studio and digital world into the classroom.

They should be able to CREATE, TEACH, SPEAK, SHOOT, EDIT and INSPIRE.
