Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will work on-site in Srirangam in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating 3D models and engineering drawings, performing basic calculations and design analyses, and ensuring designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturability requirements. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting prototype builds, reviewing designs for cost and quality, and participating in design reviews and documentation.





The engineer will also assist in troubleshooting design issues, implementing design changes, and maintaining organized project files and CAD data.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world problems.
- Experience in Machine Design, including development of mechanical mechanisms, components, and systems for reliability and performance.
- Skills in Product Design, focusing on functionality, usability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, drafting, and revision management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, materials selection, and tolerance analysis is beneficial.
- Familiarity with basic project documentation and adherence to safety and quality practices.
