Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment used for fastener manufacturing.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machines such as heading machines, thread rolling machines, wire drawing machines, tapping machines, presses, grinders, heat-treatment equipment, and related material-handling systems.
- Inspect and maintain mechanical components including bearings, shafts, gears, couplings, chains, belts, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, lubrication systems, and fasteners.
- Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes of recurring breakdowns.
- Carry out machine alignment, leveling, lubrication, adjustment, and replacement of worn components.
- Ensure proper tightening and torqueing of critical bolts, nuts, and other mechanical joints.




- Maintain critical spare parts and coordinate with stores/purchase for timely availability.
- Follow preventive-maintenance schedules and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and relocation of mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to minimize machine downtime and production losses.
- Follow 5S, TPM, safety procedures, LOTO, and standard maintenance practices.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous-improvement activities.
- Ensure machines operate within specified parameters and maintain equipment reliability.
