Role Description:

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical systems and components for EPCC projects, with a focus on petroleum, oil and gas, offshore–onshore, and marine applications. Day-to-day tasks include creating and reviewing detailed designs and drawings, performing engineering calculations, developing product concepts, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, cross-functional engineering teams, and suppliers to translate project requirements into practical, cost-effective design solutions.

The Mechanical Design

Engineer will participate in design reviews, support prototyping and testing, and assist in resolving technical issues during fabrication and installation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.

Qualifications:

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and applied engineering principles.




- Experience in Design Engineering and Machine Design for industrial or EPCC-related projects.
- Proficiency in Product Design, including concept development and design optimization.
- Hands-on expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, safety standards, and HSE practices in industrial environments.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
- Experience in oil and gas, marine, or heavy industry projects is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in office in Chennai and participate in occasional field or site visits as required.
