ABOUT GURU DIAM
Guru Diam is a US-based diamond and fine jewelry wholesaler with offices in New York and Los Angeles and a team in India. We supply retailers and jewelry businesses across the US, and exhibit at major trade shows such as JIS and JA New York. We are a small, fast-moving team that runs on AI. Nearly all of our daily work is done with Claude.
THE ROLE
You own every digital marketing channel outside Instagram and TikTok (our US content creator runs those). LinkedIn, Reddit, email, SEO, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, our WhatsApp trade group, B2B directories, communities, PR and partnerships are yours. You find where our buyers are, show up there, and turn attention into leads.
You also run marketing operations: website tracking and performance, vendors, trade shows and reporting. Our in-house designer creates the visuals. You bring the strategy, words and execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- LinkedIn: our #1 B2B channel
Most of our buyers are US jewelry retailers and trade professionals, and they're on LinkedIn.
- Grow the Guru Diam company page and the founder's personal presence: posts, articles, carousels
- Build relationships with US jewelry retailers, buyers and industry people through connections, comments and outreach
- Run targeted LinkedIn outreach campaigns to retailers and wholesale buyers
- Reddit & online communities
Be genuinely helpful where diamond and jewelry buyers ask questions, not spammy.
- Build a trusted presence in relevant communities (e.g. r/EngagementRings, r/Diamonds, r/jewelry, r/labgrowndiamonds)
- Extend to Quora, Facebook groups and industry forums where our buyers are active
- Monitor mentions of Guru Diam and industry conversations; respond where it helps
- Other channels
Every other place our audience spends time.
- Plan, publish and grow Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube, repurposing content from our creator and designer
- Run our WhatsApp trade group: new arrivals, offers, show updates
- Email marketing & CRM
Email is how we stay in front of retailers between orders.
- Plan, write (with Claude), build and send campaigns: collection launches, trade-show invitations, promotions, newsletters
- Segment lists (retailers, wholesale buyers, consumer leads) and keep the CRM clean
- Build automations: catalog auto-send on website sign-up, new-lead nurture, re-engagement
- Improve open, click and reply rates every month; hand warm leads to sales quickly, with context
- SEO & content
Organic search is our next big lead source.
- Coordinate our SEO partner: monthly plan, deliverables, results
- Write blog posts, collection descriptions and page copy with Claude
- Keep Google Business Profile, B2B directories, marketplaces and listings accurate and active
- Earn mentions, backlinks and press in jewelry and trade publications
- Website content, performance & tracking
Make sure the website works, converts, and that every lead is counted.
- Write landing page copy, brief the designer, and get pages live with our developer; fix broken links, buttons and forms
- Rank every page by traffic, engagement and lead conversion (GA4, Search Console) and flag weak pages to the designer every month
- Audit tracking end to end: GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversions, Meta Pixel, forms, call buttons, WhatsApp clicks, appointment booking
- Keep spam, bot and internal traffic filtered out so the numbers are real
- Document what is tracked; brief the developer or ads specialist on fixes and verify them live
- Set up A/B tests on key pages with the designer
- Paid media oversight A specialist runs our Google and Meta ads. You hold them accountable.
- Brief and manage our ads specialist, and question the numbers
- Propose and test new channels: LinkedIn Ads, Reddit Ads, Pinterest Ads
- Managing our content creator
Our US-based creator shoots and posts on Instagram and TikTok. You direct that work.
- Set the weekly content calendar and briefs
- Review captions and approve every post before it is published
- Feed what's working back to the creator and designer
- Catalog An outside agency produces our catalogs. You keep them on time and accurate.
- Own the timeline: chase drafts and consolidate feedback
- Check accuracy (prices, contact details, specs) before anything reaches the founder
- Trade shows & events
Trade shows are where we meet retailers face to face.
- Own execution end to end: calendar, registrations, booth logistics, ordering materials and fixtures with correct specs, shipping
- Send pre-show invitations, and follow up with every lead within 72 hours after the show
- Vendors & reporting
You are the single point of contact, and the founder always knows where things stand.
- Manage all agencies and vendors: ads, SEO, catalog agency, developer, photographers, 3D renders, print
- Keep a live status tracker for every open task and vendor
- Send a daily end-of-shift update, a weekly one-page report (GA4, ads, email, social, leads),
and a monthly channel review with 2 to 3 new growth ideas
- Source and reach out to creators, influencers and partners
