Past Modern is looking for a creative, internet-native Marketing & Content Intern who has their finger on the pulse of culture, content and everything happening on the internet.

We’re not looking for someone who just knows how to make a content calendar. We want someone who spots a trend, understands why it works, turns it into a Past Modern idea, picks up a camera and makes it happen.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Come up with fresh, culturally relevant content ideas for Instagram, Reels, Stories and other social platforms
- Keep a constant eye on trends, memes, formats, creators, music and internet culture — and figure out how to make them feel distinctly Past Modern
- Shoot content yourself - from quick iPhone content and BTS to more considered campaign and product shoots
- Edit Reels and short-form content with a strong understanding of pacing, hooks, music, transitions and what keeps people watching
- Work closely with the creative and marketing teams on campaigns, launches and brand storytelling
- Assist with photoshoots, styling, production and content days
- Work on creator collaborations, influencer content and brand partnerships
- Help ideate and execute offline activations and community events
- Think beyond what’s already been done and constantly find recent ways to make Past Modern culturally relevant

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO
- Has a genuine pulse on content and internet culture
- Is constantly consuming and dissecting good content — and knows the difference between a trend and a genuinely good idea
- Has a strong creative instinct and can turn a vague thought into something people actually want to watch




- Can shoot and edit content independently, preferably on an iPhone/phone and editing apps
- Understands social media beyond simply “posting”
- Has a strong visual eye and an instinct for fashion, culture, humour and storytelling
- Is proactive, fast-moving and comfortable figuring things out as they go
- Is obsessed with details but not precious about getting their hands dirty
- Can take an idea from “what if we did this?” → shoot → edit → post
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, founder-led environment where things can change quickly

BONUS POINTS ⭐If you’re comfortable being on camera yourself, that’s a big plus.

We love people who can not only create content but be the content — whether that’s talking to camera, styling a look, jumping on a trend, or simply bringing personality to a Reel.

You don’t need to be a professional creator. We’re looking for personality, confidence and creative instinct.
