About the Role

We are looking for experienced and result-oriented Managers – Purchase to manage end-to-end procurement operations across Medical and Non-Medical categories. The role will be responsible for sourcing, vendor development, commercial negotiations, purchase planning, cost optimization, timely procurement, and ensuring compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures.

We are looking for candidates for the following functional areas:

1. Manager – Medical Purchase The position will oversee procurement across:

- Medical Consumables & Pharmacy
- Medical Equipment, Instruments & CAPEX
- Dental Consumables & CAPEX

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement of medical consumables, pharmacy items, medical equipment & instruments, dental consumables, and dental CAPEX.
- Plan and monitor procurement requirements based on consumption, stock levels, departmental indents, CAPEX plans, and operational requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and manage reliable vendors across medical, pharmacy, and dental categories.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit periods, delivery schedules, warranties, and service support.
- Coordinate with Pharmacy, Medical, Dental, Stores, Finance, Clinical/Technical teams, and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate technical specifications, quality standards, product suitability, and compliance in coordination with concerned departments.
- Handle procurement of medical and dental equipment/instruments, including technical evaluation, commercial negotiation, vendor finalization, and installation/commissioning coordination.
- Monitor vendor performance, market trends, pricing, product availability, warranties, and after-sales support.
- Ensure compliance with approved budgets, procurement policies, authorization matrix, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper procurement documentation and MIS relating to purchase status, pending orders, savings,



vendor performance, and procurement cycle time.
- Lead and guide the medical purchase team and identify opportunities for cost savings, standardization, vendor consolidation, and process improvement.

2. Manager – Non-Medical Purchase The position will oversee procurement across:

- IT
- Marketing
- Paintings & Stationery
- Maintenance / Projects
- Projects & Non-Medical CAPEX
- Food & Beverages
- General Non-Medical
- Linen / Laundry & Furniture
- Housekeeping Consumables & Library Books
- Engineering (R&M;), Horticulture & Transport

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement of non-medical materials, consumables, services, equipment, CAPEX, and project-related requirements.
- Plan and monitor procurement requirements based on departmental indents, approved budgets, operational requirements, consumption, and project schedules.
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and manage reliable vendors across multiple non-medical categories.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, service agreements, and other commercial conditions.
- Coordinate with IT, Marketing, Administration, Maintenance, Projects, Food & Beverages, Housekeeping, Engineering, Horticulture, Transport, Library, Stores, Finance, and other user departments.
- Manage procurement related to Maintenance, Projects, and Non-Medical CAPEX, including materials, services, equipment, and project requirements.
- Handle IT hardware, software, systems, stationery, marketing materials, furniture, housekeeping, linen/laundry, F&B;, library, engineering, horticulture, and transport-related procurement.
- Coordinate with technical/user departments for specifications, scope of work, technical evaluation, quality requirements, and vendor finalization.




- Monitor vendor performance, market trends, pricing, quality, delivery timelines, warranty, and service support.
- Ensure procurement activities are carried out within approved budgets and in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain proper procurement documentation, vendor records, Purchase Orders/Work Orders, comparative statements, approvals, and MIS.
- Coordinate with Stores, Finance, Accounts, and user departments for delivery, inspection, invoice-related queries, reconciliation, shortages, quality issues, replacements, and returns.
- Lead and guide the non-medical purchase team and identify opportunities for cost savings, standardization, vendor consolidation, and process improvement.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of procurement, purchase operations, and supply chain management.
- Strong vendor development and commercial negotiation skills.
- Positive understanding of CAPEX, OPEX, consumables, equipment, services, and institutional procurement.
- Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Good knowledge of purchase documentation, budgeting, compliance, and procurement controls.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/procurement systems.
- Ability to manage multiple categories, vendors, and stakeholders while meeting timelines.

Qualification & Experience

- Graduate degree in any relevant discipline.
- MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials Management, or a related field will be an advantage.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in procurement/purchase operations.
- Candidates with relevant experience in hospital, healthcare, university, institutional, corporate, or large-scale organizations will be preferred.
- For Medical Purchase: Experience in medical consumables, pharmacy, medical equipment & instruments, and dental consumables/CAPEX will be preferred.
- For Non-Medical Purchase: Experience in CAPEX/OPEX, maintenance/projects, IT, administration, F&B;, housekeeping, and general procurement will be preferred.

Note: Candidates will be considered for the functional area based on their relevant experience and expertise.
