It has the world s fastest and most accurate ammunition inspection system available. It is a high-speed comprehensive inspection system that detects all critical defects according to MIL-STD-636 for small caliber, and MIL-STD-651 for medium caliber ammunition and components. We have setup a highly advanced facility for small Caliber Ammunition in Verna Industrial Estate, Goa.
The facility has an in-house test facility and range.
We are looking for an experienced Manager Finance & Accounts with 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably from a manufacturing environment, to independently manage and strengthen the Finance & Accounts function. The role requires a hands-on finance professional with strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, costing, inventory accounting, working capital, statutory compliance, MIS, budgeting, audits and internal financial controls. This position will report to the Finance Head.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and monthly/annual financial closure.
- Prepare monthly MIS, financial statements, management reports and variance analysis.
- Drive manufacturing accounting and costing covering material, labour, overheads, conversion costs, product costing and production variances.
- Monitor inventory accounting for raw materials, WIP,
finished goods, consumables and spares; coordinate physical stock verification and resolve variances.
- Manage vendor payments, customer invoicing, collections, ageing and reconciliations; support working-capital optimisation.
- Prepare and monitor cash-flow forecasts and support banking/treasury activities.
- Ensure timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI and other applicable statutory compliances, including reconciliations and documentation.
- Coordinate statutory, internal and tax audits; prepare schedules, respond to queries and close audit observations.
- Strengthen internal financial controls, approval processes, reconciliations and accounting discipline.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX planning and budget-vs-actual analysis.
- Maintain fixed asset records, monitor CAPEX and ensure appropriate capitalisation and depreciation.
- Support export accounting, foreign-currency transactions and related banking/documentation, where applicable.
- Partner with Production, Procurement, Stores, Quality, Commercial and Plant teams to improve cost control, financial discipline and process efficiency.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong hands-on experience in Finance & Accounts within a manufacturing environment.
- Sound knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, product costing, inventory accounting and variance analysis.
- Strong understanding of GST, TDS,
Income Tax and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Good knowledge of working-capital management, cash flow, receivables, payables and inventory controls.
- Ability to prepare and interpret MIS, budgets, forecasts and management reports.
- Strong Excel skills and practical experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, reconciliations and audit processes.
- Analytical mindset with ability to identify cost leakages, control gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to work closely with plant and business teams.
- High integrity, accuracy, ownership and attention to detail.
Experience Profile
- 12 - 15 years of relevant Finance & Accounts experience, with substantial experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in precision engineering, automotive, industrial, defence or similar manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Exposure to CAPEX-intensive manufacturing operations and plant expansion is an advantage.
- Exposure to export accounting / foreign-currency transactions is preferred.
- Experience leading or mentoring a small Finance & Accounts team is an advantage.
