HR Business Partner

Position: HR Business Partner

Department: Human Resources

Reporting To: HR Head

Location: Mumbai

Role Summary

Responsible for leading the HR Business Partner function and partnering with business leadership to drive people strategy, workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, talent development, employee relations, and HR process excellence across business functions and geographically distributed operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Business Partnering

- Lead the HRBP function and act as a strategic HR partner to business leaders and functional heads.
- Provide HR insights and recommendations to support business and operational objectives.
- Drive HR interventions across the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit.
- Support organisational restructuring, business transitions and change-management initiatives.

2. Performance Management

- Design and drive the annual Performance Management System (PMS) in alignment with organisational objectives.
- Develop KRAs/KPIs across functions and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Coordinate goal setting, performance reviews, calibration, ratings and performance improvement plans.

3. Rewards & Recognition

- Design and manage the RNR programme.
- Establish nomination, evaluation and approval mechanisms for employee recognition.
- Ensure recognition programmes are linked to measurable employee contributions and business outcomes.

4. Employee Engagement & Culture

- Develop and implement organisation-wide employee engagement initiatives.
- Drive engagement calendars, employee feedback mechanisms, communication initiatives and employee connect programmes.
- Analyse employee feedback and recommend appropriate HR interventions.

5. HRMS / HR Technology





- Lead HRMS implementation and process improvements across HR functions.
- Drive digitisation and automation of HR processes including employee lifecycle management, recruitment, onboarding, attendance, expenses, PMS and employee records.
- Coordinate with HRMS vendors, business stakeholders and internal teams for system enhancements and issue resolution.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR process efficiency through technology.

6. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

- Partner with business teams on manpower planning and recruitment requirements.
- Support hiring strategy, workforce budgeting and position approvals.

8. Employee Relations & Compliance

- Provide HR guidance on employee relations matters, disciplinary processes, grievances and employee concerns.
- Ensure implementation of HR policies and processes across locations.
- Support statutory compliance, audits and HR documentation.
- Drive awareness initiatives relating to workplace policies, including POSH and other applicable employment practices.

9. HR Policies & Process Development

- Develop, review and implement HR policies, SOPs and process guidelines.
- Identify gaps in existing HR processes and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure consistency and standardisation of HR practices across business units and locations.

10. HR Analytics & MIS

- Develop and monitor HR dashboards and management reports.
- Track key HR metrics including headcount, attrition, manpower cost, recruitment, performance, engagement and employee movement.
- Provide data-driven insights to leadership for workforce and people decisions.

Preferred candidate profile

- MBA in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
- 7- 10 years of progressive HR experience, with significant experience in an HRBP
- Proven experience in the HRBP function and partnering with senior business stakeholders.
