KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance & Engineering Operations
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance and engineering operations across all Pebble Street Hospitality outlets.
- Ensure the smooth and safe functioning of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, civil, mechanical, kitchen equipment and other building services.
- Plan and monitor preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to minimise breakdowns and operational downtime.
- Conduct regular outlet inspections and ensure timely closure of maintenance issues.
- Respond promptly to critical breakdowns and emergencies and coordinate specialised technical support when required.
2. Equipment & Asset Management
- Ensure proper maintenance and operational efficiency of all restaurant, kitchen and engineering equipment.
- Maintain equipment-wise service, repair, warranty and replacement records.
- Identify recurring equipment failures and recommend repair, replacement or long-term corrective solutions.
- Support technical requirements for new equipment, outlet openings, renovations and refurbishment projects.
3. Fire, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all fire, life-safety and emergency systems are operational and regularly serviced.
- Coordinate statutory inspections, testing and servicing of fire and safety equipment.
- Ensure engineering areas, equipment rooms and work areas meet required safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain records and ensure timely closure of compliance observations.
4. AMC & Vendor Management
- Manage all engineering vendors, contractors and service agencies.
- Monitor AMC performance, service quality, response time and contract compliance.
- Coordinate AMC renewals, warranties, quotations and technical evaluations.
- Negotiate service costs and ensure value for money while maintaining required service standards.
5. Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and monitor maintenance budgets and expenditure across outlets.
- Control repair, replacement, spare-part and service costs through effective planning and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor electricity, water, DG and other utility consumption and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Review recurring expenses and recommend opportunities for operational and energy efficiency.
6. Team Management
- Lead, supervise and allocate work to the maintenance/engineering team.
- Ensure adequate manpower, productivity, discipline, grooming, safety and uniform standards.
- Train team members on equipment handling, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
7. Inventory & Spare Parts
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of engineering spares, tools and consumables.
- Monitor consumption, replenishment and proper storage of maintenance materials.
- Ensure proper documentation and accountability of engineering inventory.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, breakdowns, equipment servicing, AMCs, warranties, inventory and utility consumption.
- Prepare regular maintenance, cost and compliance reports for management.
- Track pending jobs and ensure timely closure through proper follow-up and escalation.
9. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Operations, Restaurant Managers, Culinary, Procurement, Finance, HR/Admin, Projects and Security to ensure uninterrupted restaurant operations.
- Represent the Engineering/Maintenance function in relevant management and operational meetings.
- Provide technical inputs for current projects, outlet openings and major repairs or replacements.
