Role & responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure maximum availability and reliability of plant machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related problems.
- Monitor and improve MTBF, MTTR, OEE, and equipment efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and checklists.
- Lead maintenance technicians and allocate manpower according to requirements.
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize machine downtime.
- Identify recurring equipment failures and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Manage critical spare parts, inventory, and maintenance consumables.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance activities.
- Monitor maintenance costs and control unnecessary expenses.
- Plan and execute machine installation, modification,
and improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, EHS standards, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, breakdown history, and equipment documentation.
- Implement TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular inspection of machines and identify potential failures.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance performance reports.
- Train and guide maintenance team members on equipment and safety procedures.
- Support audits related to safety, quality, maintenance, and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with management for maintenance planning, budgeting, and CAPEX requirements.
