Candidate Expectations
- Total Experience and Relevant Experience:
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical/automobile maintenance,preferably handling heavy vehicles/fire vehicles.
- Skills Mandatory: Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Fire Vehicle Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, Vehicle TroubleshootingCandidate Industry:Automobile / Heavy Vehicle / Commercial Vehicle / Fire & Emergency Vehicle/ Engineering
Travel Requirement:Candidates should be comfortable travelling within Maharashtra as and when required. Education and Certification / Qualification:B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
Specific Remarks:
Hands-on experience in handling fire vehicles / heavy vehicles is mandatory.
Role Overview
- The Engineer LWH Maintenance will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance activities for vehicles, with a specific focus on fire vehicles and heavy vehicles.
- The role will involve preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, safety compliance and ensuring vehicle availability with minimum downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance of mechanical equipment, specifically vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Ensure proper alignment, balancing, lubrication and calibration of mechanical systems.
- Oversee welding,
fabrication and mechanical repair activities as required.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor vehicle/equipment performance using vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication analysis and other predictive maintenance techniques.
- Assist in developing and maintaining maintenance SOPs and equipment/vehicle history records.
- Execute maintenance activities in compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations and company policies.
- Participate in risk assessments, Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes and safety audits.
- Monitor spare parts and optimize inventory costs while ensuring availability of critical components.
- Support installation, commissioning and testing of recent mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate with internal teams and service vendors for repair and maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance activities and maintain proper documentation.
Other Specific Remarks
- Fire vehicle / heavy vehicle maintenance experience is mandatory.Candidates should be comfortable travelling within Maharashtra as and when required.
- Hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in the automobile/heavy vehicle sectoris preferred.
- Candidates should be willing to work in a maintenance/site-based environment.
