Position Summary

As a Transition Manager at Deloitte Consulting, you will lead the end-to-end transition of Java or .NET based applications from the incumbent service provider to Deloitte. You will own the transition roadmap, governance, and budget, drive knowledge transfer and operational readiness, and act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders throughout the engagement. This role includes coordinating cross-functional workstreams, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring a smooth, well-governed transition to steady-state operations.

Work you'll do

As a Transition Manager on the Engineering as a Service team, you will be responsible for...

- Owning the end-to-end transition plan, including roadmap, milestones, governance model, and budget for Java or .NET application transitions from incumbent to Deloitte
- Leading knowledge transfer, shadowing, go-live, and operational readiness activities to ensure a seamless changeover
- Coordinating cross-functional workstreams and managing risks, dependencies, and change control across the transition lifecycle
- Acting as the primary stakeholder contact and independently leading client calls and governance forums
- Applying strong project management practices and ITIL-aligned processes, with clear and consistent stakeholder communication
- Preparing status reports, risk registers, and transition dashboards to track progress against milestones and budget
- Escalating and resolving issues in a timely manner to protect the transition timeline and quality of delivery

The team Engineering as a Service provides complete design, implementation,



and technology operations, leveraging our core engineering expertise. We transform engineering teams, modernize technology, and deliver complex programs with a product engineering approach. Our flexible delivery models—traditional teams, pools, or pods—are tailored to each client's needs, offering engineering-led advisory, implementation, and operational capabilities to accelerate innovation. Location: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST

Qualifications

Required

- Manager or exit-level Senior Consultant with hands-on experience managing application transitions (Java or .NET) from an incumbent vendor to a new service provider
- Proven experience owning end-to-end transition plans, including roadmap, milestones, governance, and budget management
- Experience leading knowledge transfer, shadowing, go-live, and operational readiness activities
- Able to independently coordinate cross-functional workstreams and manage risks, dependencies, and change control

Excellent technical and functional knowledge in:

- Transition and transformation methodologies and best practices
- ITIL framework and IT service management processes
- Project and program management, including planning, estimation, and budgeting
- Cross-functional workstream coordination, risk management, and dependency tracking
- Change control and governance processes
- Functional understanding of Java or .NET application landscapes
- Stakeholder management and client governance
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to independently lead client calls and drive discussions with senior stakeholders

Certification

- ITIL Foundation certification
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification (preferred)

Preferred

- Certifications in Agile / Scrum methodologies




- Prior experience managing multi-tower transitions in a shared services or GCC environment
