Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Infrastructure Expert / SME with strong expertise in CICS, Db2, MQ, and Omegamon. The candidate will be responsible for mainframe infrastructure administration, system maintenance, performance management, disaster recovery, storage management, hardware support, and 24/7 customer support.

Key Responsibilities

Mainframe Infrastructure & Software Management

- Install, maintain, upgrade, and support z/OS and its components, including CICS, Db2, MQ, Omegamon, and COBOL compiler.
- Manage VTAM/TCPIP, third-party software and license updates, custom exits, and internally used custom assembler code.
- Perform IPLs (Initial Program Loads) for all systems as per project schedules, typically 1-2 times per month.

Disaster Recovery & RACF Administration

- Provide Disaster Recovery (DR) support, including data recovery through FlashCopy, system recovery, and validation of system-level components.
- Perform RACF administration related to software installation, patching, and removal.
- User addition/removal activities are excluded from the scope.

Customer & Performance Support





- Provide 24/7 customer support through chat platforms and designated client email accounts.
- Prepare monthly performance reports, participate in regular review meetings, and provide performance tuning recommendations.

Hardware & Storage Management

- Support client-owned mainframe hardware and ensure systems remain on supported firmware and hardware levels.
- Manage physical infrastructure including:
- Mainframe systems
- DASD (Direct Access Storage Devices)
- VTS (Virtual Tape System)

- Manage storage infrastructure, including SMS/ACS routines, DFSMShsm, storage pool capacity, and DFSMSrmm.

Required Skills & Experience
- 14-16 years of experience in Mainframe Infrastructure / System Administration.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- CICS
- Db2
- MQ
- Omegamon

- Robust knowledge of z/OS and mainframe system components.
- Experience with RACF administration, IPLs, Disaster Recovery, and system recovery.
- Knowledge of mainframe hardware, DASD, VTS, and storage management.
- Experience with SMS/ACS, DFSMShsm, and DFSMSrmm.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and tuning skills.
- Ability to provide 24/7 customer and production support.
