Key Responsibilities
- Own CICS security conversion design from ACF2 rules to RACF profiles, groups, permits, and CICS class-specific controls.
- Define RACF controls for CICS regions, transactions, programs, files, terminals, commands, temporary storage, transient data, and intercommunication.
- Validate CICS started task IDs, region IDs, service IDs, application IDs, surrogate access, and batch integration authorities.
- Coordinate digital certificate, keyring, TLS, and secure CICS connectivity controls with the infrastructure and RACF engineering leads.
- Review CICS SIT, CSD, RDO, PLT, security exits, inter-region communication, and connection flows for migration impact.
- Lead CICS regression testing, connectivity testing, transaction authorization testing, resource access validation, and negative authorization testing.
- Troubleshoot CICS authorization failures using RACF messages, CICS traces,
SMF records, region logs, and application diagnostics.
- Coordinate application owner sign-off for CICS workloads in each migration wave.
- Produce CICS security evidence and BAU support procedures for post-migration operations.
Experience and Qualifications
- 10+ years of CICS, transaction services, or mainframe middleware security experience.
- Robust knowledge of CICS TS security in RACF or ACF2 environments.
- Experience supporting critical production CICS transaction workloads in regulated environments.
- Experience with TLS, digital certificates, service IDs, CICS regression testing, and production cutover support Role & responsibilities
