About the Company

Nexal IIT is offering a structured remote internship for freshers who want to begin a career in Machine Learning. The internship provides practical exposure to data preprocessing, feature engineering, machine learning model development, training, evaluation, and deployment through hands-on projects.

Responsibilities

- Assist in collecting, cleaning, preprocessing, and preparing datasets for machine learning projects.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to understand patterns, trends, and relationships within datasets.
- Develop, train, test, and evaluate machine learning models under guidance.
- Work with Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
- Assist with feature engineering, feature selection, and data transformation.
- Implement and experiment with supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms.
- Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in tuning model parameters and improving model accuracy and performance.
- Explore machine learning applications such as classification, regression, clustering, recommendation systems, and predictive analytics.
- Assist with integrating trained models into applications or APIs where required.
- Document experiments, methodologies, model results,



and technical approaches clearly.
- Research machine learning techniques, frameworks, and industry applications.
- Collaborate with remote team members and complete assigned projects and deliverables on time.

Requirements
- Suitable for freshers with an interest in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related area.
- Basic knowledge of Python programming.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
- Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of statistics, probability, and mathematics used in machine learning.
- Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.
- Familiarity with machine learning evaluation metrics is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Git and version control is beneficial.
- Familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch is beneficial.
- Robust analytical thinking, logical reasoning, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing deadlines responsibly.

This is a paid, remote internship with a duration of 3 months and a performance-based stipend of up to ₹10,000.
