Techmatix Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team on a fully remote (WFH) basis.

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer – SPM / Industrial Automation

Work Mode: 100% Work From Home

Employment: Full time

Experience: 2–5 years

What you'll work on

- Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and industrial automation equipment
- Mechanisms, conveyors and material-handling systems
- Jigs, fixtures and machine structures
- Pneumatic systems and actuator selection
- Motors, gearboxes, bearings and linear-motion components
- Fabricated and machined components
- Complete 3D assemblies, BOMs and manufacturing drawings
- Design calculations, tolerances, fits and GD&T;
- Design modifications, redlines and production-support activities

Required experience

- Hands-on SPM / industrial automation machine-design experience is mandatory
- Strong understanding of machine elements and manufacturing processes
- Ability to develop a design from concept through manufacturing drawings
- Good understanding of fabrication, machining and assembly practices




- Ability to select suitable bought-out components based on application requirements
- Ability to work independently in a remote engineering environment

CAD

Autodesk Inventor experience is strongly preferred.

Candidates with strong SPM/automation design experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD platforms may also apply if willing to transition to Autodesk Inventor.

Important

We are looking for machine designers, not only CAD modellers/drafters. Candidates should be comfortable understanding an engineering requirement, developing a practical solution and taking responsibility for the design through detailing.
