About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Scriptwriter to own the creative quality of our entertainment IPs on the BabyBillion app. You will lead a team of about 20 writers. You will review every script and video that goes out, and you will drive a daily pipeline of fresh ideas. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will write, edit, and set the creative bar, not just manage.

Key Responsibilities

Script review and quality

- Review, edit, and approve daily scripts across our entertainment IPs in both Hindi and English, so every script meets standards for story, humour, pacing, and age-appropriateness.
- Give clear, actionable feedback to writers and turn revisions around fast without slowing production.
- Maintain consistency of each IP's characters, voice, and world across episodes.

Ideation

- Lead daily ideation for new episodes, story arcs, formats, and characters.
- Track trends in kids' content, YouTube, and short-form, and translate them into original concepts for our IPs.
- Pitch and develop new IP ideas with the creative and content teams.

Video review

- Review produced IP videos daily for storytelling, comedic timing, dialogue delivery, and retention. • Flag gaps between script and final output, and work with production to fix them.

Team leadership

- Lead, mentor,



and grow a team of about 20 scriptwriters, including task allocation, daily targets, and quality tracking.
- Run writers' rooms, script reviews, and regular skill-building sessions.
- Hire, onboard, and evaluate writers as the team scales.

Process and performance

- Build and maintain IP bibles, script templates, and review checklists.
- Use performance data such as views, watch time, and retention to guide creative decisions and coach writers.
- Ensure all content follows BabyBillion's brand guidelines and child-safety standards.

Requirements

- 6–10 years of experience in scriptwriting, with at least 2–3 years leading a team of writers, ideally 10 or more people.
- Excellent writing and dialogue skills in both Hindi and English, including natural Hinglish.

A strong portfolio in kids' content, animation, YouTube, OTT, TV, or short-form entertainment.

- A deep understanding of what keeps children engaged: hooks, repetition, humour, pacing, and character appeal.
- Proven ability to review high volumes of scripts daily while keeping quality high.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Higgsfield in a content workflow, including the ability to:





– Write and refine scripts with AI tools, using effective prompting while keeping the voice, humour, and quality human-led;

– Build reusable AI skills or custom assistants (for example, Claude Skills or Custom GPTs) that encode an IP's characters, tone, and script format so the team can produce consistently at scale;– --Generate AI videos, including writing shot-level video prompts and keeping characters consistent across scenes.

- Comfort with tight deadlines and a high-output production environment.
- Strong people-management skills: explicit feedback, prioritisation, and calm under pressure.

Good to Have

- Experience writing for Indian audiences in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets.
- Familiarity with animation production pipelines and other AI video models such as Veo, Kling, or Seedance.
- Experience reading YouTube or app analytics to improve content.
