We are seeking an experienced Lead - Legal Technology to drive the legal documentation, contracting, allied documentation and related processes, SoPs and governance including contract life cycle management across the Legal function.

The role will be responsible for attending to tech contracts of the business as well as modernizing legal processes, implementing legal technology solutions, enhancing compliance workflows, and leveraging automation and AI to improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will combine deep legal domain expertise with robust technology transformation experience.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Technology Strategy & Transformation

- Attend to and implement robust contracting process for tech contracts requirements of the business including vetting, redlining, finalising and supporting business promptly
- Develop and execute the legal digitization roadmap aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and standardize legal processes across contracting, litigation, compliance, and governance.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives within the Legal function, ensuring adoption and scalability.

Legal Operations & Process Excellence

- Review and redesign existing legal templates, SoPs, processes to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
- Establish best practices, governance frameworks, and digital operating models for legal service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement through process automation and workflow optimization.

Technology Implementation

- Lead implementation and management of LegalTech platforms including:
- Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
- E-signature solutions
- Legal Matter Management Systems
- Compliance Management Platforms
- Document Management Systems
- Knowledge Management Repositories
- AI-driven Legal Research and Contract Review Tools
- Partner with IT, Procurement, Security, and external vendors for successful deployment and integration.

AI & Advanced Analytics





- Evaluate and deploy Generative AI and emerging technologies within the legal ecosystem.
- Establish governance frameworks for responsible AI usage in legal operations.
- Develop dashboards and analytics to track legal performance, risks, compliance metrics, and productivity.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with General Counsel, Compliance, Risk Management, HR, Finance, Procurement, and Business Leaders.
- Act as a change champion to drive adoption of digital solutions across legal teams globally.
- Manage external technology partners and consulting firms.

Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure digital solutions comply with regulatory, privacy, security, and data governance requirements.
- Support audits and regulatory assessments related to legal systems and records management.
- Monitor technology risks and establish mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership

- Build and lead high-performing legal operations and digital transformation teams.
- Mentor legal professionals and technology specialists.
- Establish performance metrics and governance mechanisms for project execution.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB/LLM) or equivalent.
- 15+ years of experience in Legal Operations, Legal Technology, Digital Transformation, Compliance, or Corporate Legal functions.
- Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide legal digitization programs.
- Strong understanding of contract management, litigation management, compliance, and governance processes.
- Experience implementing CLM, DMS, workflow automation, AI, and LegalTech solutions.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certification in Project Management (PMP, Prince2, Agile) preferred.
- Experience with digital contract management tool, compliance management tool preferred, worked with platforms such as Ironclad, DocuSign, Icertis, ContractPodAi, Onit, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, SAP, or similar.
- Knowledge of AI/ML applications in legal operations.
- Experience in multinational organizations and global legal environments.
