About the Role

We are looking for an experienced

Team Lead - Databricks Applications to guide a team of developers in building enterprise-ready, production-grade applications on the Databricks platform. In this role, you will lead technical direction, architect scalable patterns, mentor developers, and deliver robust cloud solutions.

What You Will Do

- Architecture &
- Design:

Architect and design production applications on the Databricks platform while driving key technical decisions around performance, security, and application patterns.

- Data Engineering &

- Governance:

Build and optimize data pipelines using Databricks Workflows and Delta Lake, and configure Unity Catalog for data governance and access control.

- Operations &

- Optimization:

Oversee cloud security, service principals, cost optimization, performance tuning, and application monitoring.

- Leadership &

- Collaboration:

Lead and mentor a team of 1–2 Databricks developers, establish coding standards and review processes, and translate stakeholder requirements into technical solutions within an Agile framework.

What We Are Looking For

- Experience:





8+ years of hands-on experience building production applications on Databricks or comparable cloud data platforms.

- Leadership:

2+ years of technical leadership experience.

- Core Technical Skills:

Expert-level Python and SQL skills, solid experience with REST APIs and web application development, and deep expertise in Databricks Apps, Workflows, Unity Catalog, and Delta Lake.

- Cloud &
- Operations:

In-depth understanding of compute management, performance optimization at scale, cloud security, identity management, and service principals.

- Track Record:

Proven success transforming prototypes into production-ready enterprise applications.

- Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates).

- Automated testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end) and React frontend development experience.

- Databricks Certifications (Data Engineer Associate, Platform Administrator).
