Role Description The Lead Costing role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The role is responsible for leading costing activities for cement and related products, including preparation, analysis, and review of cost sheets, standard costing, and variance analysis.

The Lead

Costing professional will collaborate with production, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate allocation of material, labor, and overhead costs, and support pricing decisions with reliable cost data. Daily responsibilities include monitoring cost drivers, updating costing models, validating data from plants,



and preparing cost reports and dashboards for management. The role also supports annual budgeting, periodic forecasts, internal controls related to costing, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cost efficiency and transparency.

Qualifications

- Strong cost accounting and management accounting skills, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost control.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret data for decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Experience with ERP and costing systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), and advanced MS Excel skills for modeling and analytics.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably in cement or heavy industry, and understanding of production, supply chain, and inventory flows.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and senior leadership, and to communicate complex cost concepts clearly.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field; qualified qualifications like CMA/CA (or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to ethical, compliant financial practices.
- Prior experience in a costing or finance leadership role in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to multi-site operations, is highly beneficial.
