Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Lab Assistant – Hotel Management to support the smooth functioning of practical training laboratories in the Hotel Management department. The candidate should have prior experience working as a Lab Assistant in a Hotel Management College or Hospitality Training Institution and should be familiar with practical laboratory operations and hospitality equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist faculty members in conducting practical sessions for Hotel Management students.
- Prepare and arrange laboratories before practical classes.
- Maintain and organize Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Housekeeping, Bakery, and related practical labs.
- Ensure that all equipment, utensils, tools, and other laboratory materials are available and in working condition.
- Issue and receive equipment, utensils, and other materials required for practical sessions.
- Maintain proper inventory and stock records of laboratory equipment and consumables.
- Assist in the procurement and storage of kitchen and laboratory supplies.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained in all practical labs.




- Support students and faculty during practical demonstrations and examinations.
- Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to the concerned authority.
- Assist with regular maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipment.
- Follow institutional safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.
- Perform other duties related to laboratory operations as assigned by the HOD/Principal.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Candidates with relevant technical or hospitality qualifications may also be considered.

Experience Required
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Lab Assistant in a Hotel Management College / Hospitality Management Institute is preferred.
- Experience handling hotel management practical labs and equipment will be an advantage.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of hotel management practical laboratory operations.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, service equipment, housekeeping tools, and related materials.
- Valuable organizational and inventory-management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for maintaining records and stock registers.
- Ability to work effectively with faculty members and students.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and proper equipment handling.
