Role Description The Kidney Transplant Surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients requiring renal transplantation, including pre-operative evaluation, transplant procedures, and post-operative management. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing kidney transplant surgeries, collaborating with nephrologists and multidisciplinary teams, participating in transplant selection committees, and ensuring adherence to national and international clinical guidelines.

The surgeon will supervise and mentor residents and junior clinicians, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and participate in clinical audits and outcomes monitoring.



Additional duties involve maintaining accurate clinical documentation, engaging in patient and family counseling, and supporting hospital-wide protocols for infection control and patient safety. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Accord Superspeciality Hospital in Faridabad.

Qualifications

- Advanced expertise in Transplant and Surgery, with specific experience in kidney transplant procedures.
- Solid foundation in Medicine and General Surgery, including comprehensive perioperative patient management.
- Awareness of related transplant domains (e.g., Hair Transplant) is beneficial for understanding broader surgical practices, though kidney transplant specialization is essential.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification (MS/MD in General Surgery or equivalent), with super-specialization in transplant surgery (MCh or equivalent), as per applicable regulations.
- Valid medical license and registration with relevant national medical councils or authorities.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, ethical standards, and patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication and decision-making skills.
- Prior experience in a high-volume tertiary care or superspeciality hospital setting is preferred.
