Junior Robotics Engineer (Intern / Full-Time): Drone SystemsLocation: Hyderabad | In office

About the RoleYou will work with our core engineering team to build, wire, configure and test drones, while also supporting software development.
You will get hands-on exposure to flight stacks, sensors and field testing. This role is suitable for someone who learns quickly, follows through on tasks and wants to grow into a robotics engineer.
What You'll Do
- Assemble and maintain drones: frames, motors, ESCs, flight controllers, power systems and payloads.
- Wire and solder drone electronics; troubleshoot connectivity and power issues.
- Configure and tune ArduPilot, and communicate with the vehicle over MAVLink.
- Design and iterate on mounts, brackets and enclosures using CAD.
- Write and run Python scripts for data logging, testing and automation.
- Read and understand existing code, and support the team in debugging and improving it.
- Assist with flight tests and log analysis, and maintain test records.
- Support the team with basic computer vision and filtering tasks.
Must-Have Requirements
- Hands-on drone building experience. Personal, academic or club projects are acceptable.
- Understanding of drone electronics: flight controllers, ESCs, power distribution, batteries, radio, GPS and telemetry.
- Working knowledge of ArduPilot using Mission Planner or QGroundControl,
including parameter setup and basic tuning.
- Familiarity with MAVLink, including messages, telemetry and basic scripting using pymavlink or MAVSDK.
- CAD design experience using SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape or similar tools.
- Python coding ability and the ability to read and understand code written by others.
- Basic understanding of robotics principles, including computer vision fundamentals such as OpenCV and image processing, and filters such as Kalman and complementary filters.
- Ability to understand tasks, ask the right questions and execute independently.
- Eager to learn and reliable about delivering within agreed timelines.
- Commitment of at least 6 months, with 1 year preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Linux, Git or ROS/ROS2.
- Exposure to NVIDIA Jetson or Raspberry Pi companion computers.
- 3D printing experience.
- Drone or robotics competition, club or portfolio projects.
- Basic understanding of RTK or GPS concepts.
