About BALLADS OF LOVE
BALLADS OF LOVE is a premium wedding photography and filmmaking company specialising in photography, cinematography, and creative visual storytelling.
We are looking for a responsible, highly organised, proactive, and hands-on Operations Assistant / Junior Operations Manager to join our Bangalore team.
This is a full-time operational role, not an internship. The person will work closely with management, photographers, cinematographers, editors, vendors, and clients to ensure that wedding projects and day-to-day company operations run smoothly.
This position involves working in the wedding industry, where working hours can vary depending on wedding schedules.
The role may require
- Late-night and early-morning operational work during wedding events.
- Coordinating midnight data copy and data management requirements.
- Preparing, checking, arranging, and collecting photography and cinematography equipment.
- Arranging equipment according to specific client/event requirements.
- Coordinating equipment handovers with photographers and cinematographers.
- Occasional travel within Bangalore and nearby locations.
- Client album, hard-drive, and project-material deliveries and collections.
- Working outside normal office hours when an event or operational requirement demands it.
- Being available for urgent operational requirements when necessary.
Key Responsibilities Office & Operations
- Manage day-to-day office operations and administrative requirements.
- Coordinate daily tasks between management and different departments.
- Maintain project schedules, records, documents, checklists, and pending tasks.
- Follow up with team members to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Maintain proper records of company equipment and project materials.
Wedding Operations
- Coordinate with photographers, cinematographers, editors, vendors, and other team members.
- Prepare equipment according to the requirements of each wedding assignment.
- Check equipment before and after assignments.
- Coordinate equipment allocation, collection, and returns.
- Assist in managing wedding logistics, travel, schedules, and team requirements.
- Ensure photographers and cinematographers have the required equipment and materials before assignments.
Data & Project Management
- Coordinate data-copy requirements after wedding assignments.
- Assist with late-night data-copy operations when required.
- Maintain proper records of cards, hard drives, and project data.
- Ensure project materials are properly labelled, organised, and handed over.
- Coordinate with the editing and post-production teams regarding project requirements.
Client & Vendor Coordination
- Communicate with clients through calls, WhatsApp, and email.
- Coordinate album, hard-drive, and other project deliveries and collections.
- Follow up with vendors and external service providers.
- Assist management with client and operational requirements.
Management Support
- Assist management with day-to-day business operations.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Identify operational issues and find practical solutions.
- Maintain confidentiality of company, client, and project information.
- Ensure tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.
Requirements
- Candidates must currently be based in Bangalore.
- Candidates must be willing to work full time from our Bangalore office.
- Must be comfortable with late-night / early-morning work when wedding operations require it.
- Must be comfortable handling and arranging photography and cinematography equipment.
- Must be willing to travel within Bangalore for office, wedding, client, and delivery-related requirements.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Basic knowledge of Excel, Google Workspace, or MS Office.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Responsible, punctual, proactive, and dependable.
- Must be comfortable taking instructions as well as working independently.
- A valid driving licence and ability to travel independently will be an advantage.
