About us

Velmor Exim provides dedicated offshore sourcing and compliance support teams to international fashion brands. You'll work as an extension of a brand's buying and supply chain team, helping keep suppliers, documents, and shipments on track.

What you'll do

- Collect, check, and track supplier compliance documents: audit reports, test reports, certificates, and licenses
- Follow up with factories and vendors on missing, expired, or incorrect documents
- Maintain supplier files and expiry trackers so nothing lapses
- Coordinate with testing labs and inspection agencies on bookings and reports
- Check product labels (fiber content, care, country of origin) against brand requirements
- Prepare and verify trade documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
- Support the team with supplier research, cost sheets, and sample or PO tracking as we grow
- Send clear weekly updates to international clients on completed work, open issues, and risks
- Check PO details (quantities, sizes, colors, prices, delivery dates) against supplier confirmations and flag mismatches early
- Track purchase orders from confirmation to delivery, including production status, ex-factory dates, and shipment readiness

What we're looking for

- 1-3 years of experience in apparel merchandising, sourcing, buying, or compliance (export house, buying office, or brand experience preferred)




- Fashion or textile background (NIFT, B.Sc/B.Tech in textiles or apparel, or equivalent) is a plus
- Basic understanding of garment production, tech packs, and the sample-to-shipment cycle
- Familiarity with social compliance or product compliance (BSCI, Sedex/SMETA, WRAP, REACH, CPSIA, OEKO-TEX) is a solid advantage
- Excellent written English, since you'll write to international clients and suppliers daily
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and very good attention to detail
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable following up persistently but politely
- Experience with ERP, PLM, or order management tools
- Experience coordinating with suppliers in India, Bangladesh, China, or Sri Lanka

Good to have

- Experience working with UK or US brands
- Knowledge of HS codes and basic export documentation
- Willingness to work flexible hours to overlap with client time zones
