Jr. QC Cum Production Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Jr. QC Cum Production Engineer to monitor production activities and ensure that furniture products meet the required quality, dimensional, and finishing standards. The candidate will coordinate closely with the production, design, cutting, CNC, assembly, and dispatch teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor day-to-day production activities and ensure work is completed as per production plans.
- Inspect furniture components and finished products at different stages of production.
- Check dimensions, material specifications, edge banding, drilling, assembly, alignment, finishing, and overall quality.
- Verify production output against approved drawings, cutting lists, and specifications.
- Identify defects, deviations, and quality issues and coordinate for corrective action.
- Conduct in-process and final quality inspections.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Cutting, CNC, and Assembly teams to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain records of quality inspections, rejection, rework, and production status.
- Monitor rework and ensure corrective actions are properly implemented.
- Assist in identifying the root cause of recurring production and quality issues.
- Ensure production follows approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Support the Production Manager in planning, monitoring, and achieving daily production targets.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and finished products.




- Maintain workplace 5S, safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Prepare daily production and quality reports.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of furniture manufacturing and production processes.
- Ability to read and understand 2D furniture/production drawings.
- Knowledge of plywood, MDF, particle board, laminate, acrylic, veneer, and related materials.
- Good understanding of CNC, cutting, edge banding, drilling, assembly, and finishing processes.
- Robust knowledge of measurements and dimensional inspection.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Solid attention to detail and quality consciousness.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in production/QC, preferably in furniture, modular furniture, interior fit-out, or woodworking manufacturing.
- Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.
