About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our fully remote team at Textellent, Inc. This role is pivotal in driving the development of scalable, high-performance backend systems that power our SMS marketing automation platform. As a Backend Developer, you will leverage your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies to build robust APIs, optimize database performance, and deploy applications on AWS infrastructure.

Additionally, you will play a key role in integrating AI-assisted development tools to streamline the coding process, enhance automation, and accelerate delivery cycles. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4 to 7 years of experience in backend development, with a strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot frameworks. You should have a solid understanding of SQL databases and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS. Familiarity or interest in AI-based development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Lovable is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within remote, cross-functional teams are essential. Candidates should demonstrate problem-solving capabilities, adaptability, and a passion for leveraging automation and AI to improve development workflows.

Responsibilities

As a Backend Developer at Textellent, Inc., your responsibilities will include:

- Developing and maintaining backend functionalities using Java and Spring Boot to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Designing and optimizing database schemas and queries to enhance performance and data integrity with SQL.
- Deploying, configuring, and managing applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS services.
- Implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing tools such as GitHub and Jenkins to streamline development workflows.
- Utilizing AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing,



and deployment processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborating with remote cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend developers, and QA, to deliver impactful features and solutions.
- Participating in code reviews, troubleshooting, and optimizing system performance to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
