About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our fully remote team at Textellent, Inc. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that support our SMS marketing automation platform. Your work will involve creating high-performance APIs, optimizing database operations, and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure.

Additionally, you will leverage AI-driven development tools to automate routine tasks, accelerate development cycles, and improve overall product quality. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4-7 years of experience in backend development, with a strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot frameworks.

Experience with SQL database design and optimization is essential, along with a solid understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using GitHub and Jenkins, is required. Candidates should have a keen interest in AI-based development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or Lovable, and ideally have prior remote working experience.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills are vital to succeed in our team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain robust backend functionality using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Design, implement, and optimize relational databases with SQL to support platform features and data integrity.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, SNS, and SQS, ensuring high availability and security.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub and Jenkins to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor,



or Lovable to automate coding tasks, testing, and code reviews, thereby enhancing productivity and code quality.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and frontend developers to deliver impactful features and ensure seamless integration across the platform.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold best practices and technical excellence.
