Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain features across 1-2 microservices independently.
- Write clean, readable, and testable code using SOLID principles and standard coding practices.
- Develop and maintain Kafka producers and consumers and work with basic event/message schemas.
- Write efficient PostgreSQL queries and work with JPA/Hibernate .
- Understand and handle common database issues such as N+1 queries, lazy loading, and transaction management .
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
- Create and maintain Dockerfiles and understand basic Kubernetes concepts such as Pods, Services, and ConfigMaps.
- Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit 5, Mockito, and Testcontainers .
- Design and work with REST APIs and have basic exposure to gRPC and GraphQL APIs .
- Monitor dashboards, logs, and traces to identify and resolve production issues.
- Follow secure coding practices and have basic knowledge of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities .
- Use AI coding assistants effectively while reviewing and validating the generated code.
- Participate actively in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.




- Follow established architecture and design standards and understand the technical trade-offs involved.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Java / Spring Boot and Microservices .
- Hands-on experience with Kafka .
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL, JPA, and Hibernate .
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and basic Kubernetes .
- Experience with JUnit 5, Mockito, and Testcontainers .
- Good understanding of REST APIs .
- Basic understanding of gRPC and GraphQL .
- Knowledge of application security and OWASP Top 10 .
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of clean coding and software development best practices.

Good to Have

- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .
- Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools.
