Job Summary

Interior Designer: Residential Projects. Join FD Design, a multidisciplinary architecture and interior design practice established in 2000, working on premium residences, hospitality, commercial and housing projects. We are looking for an Interior Designer with practical experience in residential interiors who can contribute to design development, working drawings, detailing, material selection, vendor coordination and project execution.

This is a hands-on role for professionals who enjoy transforming design concepts into well-coordinated built spaces.

Responsibilities

- Develop interior concepts and space planning for residential projects.

- Prepare furniture layouts, ceiling plans, flooring layouts and wall treatment drawings.

- Support the selection of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and accessories.

- Translate approved design concepts into coordinated working drawings.

- Participate in design reviews and material selection discussions.

- Prepare detailed interior working drawings in AutoCAD.

- Develop furniture, joinery, ceiling, flooring and wall-detail drawings.

- Create plans, elevations, sections and construction details.

- Maintain drawing revisions and project documentation.

- Coordinate interior drawings with architectural and MEP drawings.

- Prepare material, finish and hardware specifications.

- Research products, finishes, materials and suitable vendors.

- Coordinate samples, catalogues and technical documentation.

- Track pending material approvals and maintain sample records.

- Coordinate with furniture vendors, fabricators, contractors and suppliers.

- Review quotations,



shop drawings and vendor submissions.

- Monitor production requirements and delivery schedules.

- Visit project sites when required for design coordination.

- Review execution quality against approved drawings.

- Coordinate site revisions and resolve routine execution issues.

- Maintain drawing, quotation, sample and approval trackers.

- Organise project files and support project documentation.

Required Skills Software

- Proficiency in AutoCAD.

- Working knowledge of SketchUp.

- Knowledge of presentation software.

- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent communication and coordination skills.

- Ability to organise drawings, samples and project information efficiently.

- Willingness to learn, take ownership and work collaboratively.

Preferred Background

- 38 years of experience in residential interior projects.

- Strong experience in interior working drawings and detailing.

- Understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, joinery and interior execution.

- Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors and fabricators.
