THE ROLE

Every Collins project begins with a drawing. A wrong drawing creates a wrong product. The CAD Designer's job is to make sure that never happens.

You will work under the Project Manager, converting design briefs and site measurements into accurate, production-ready 2D CAD drawings for kitchens and wardrobes. Your work feeds directly into factory production. Accuracy is not optional — it is the entire job.

This is a technical role. You will not be doing client-facing work or design consultations. You will be doing precise, high-quality drawing work across multiple active projects simultaneously, with fast turnaround and zero tolerance for measurement errors.

WHAT YOU OWN

- Preparation of 2D AutoCAD drawings — layouts, elevations, sections, and production-ready working drawings
- Accurate conversion of site measurements and design briefs into CAD
- Revision management — updating drawings based on Project Manager’s feedback, client approvals, and site changes
- Drawing file organisation — maintaining clean, version-controlled, accessible drawing sets
- Coordination with the Project Manager for daily task prioritisation and drawing review




- Flagging measurement ambiguities or brief gaps before starting — not after drawing is complete

WHAT YOU WILL NOT DO

- Send drawings directly to factory or clients — all output goes through the Project Manager
- Make design decisions independently — that is the Project Manager's call
- Take client briefs directly — briefs come through the Project Manager and Design Head

HOW WE WILL MEASURE YOUR SUCCESS

- Drawing accuracy — errors caught at review stage, not at factory or site
- Turnaround time — drawings completed within committed timelines
- Revision cycles — fewer revisions per drawing means better first-pass quality
- File discipline — organised, named, and version-controlled drawing folders

WHO YOU ARE

- 2–4 years of experience in 2D AutoCAD drafting for modular kitchens, wardrobes, or interiors
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is non-negotiable — this is the core skill of the role
- Robust spatial understanding — you can read a site plan and translate it accurately into a working drawing
- Detail-oriented and methodical — you double-check before you submit
- Fast learner — Collins works with European product lines and specific production standards you will be trained on
- SketchUp, Photoshop, or Revit knowledge is a plus, not a requirement
