Position: HVAC Technician

Department: Maintenance / Engineering

Reports To: Maintenance In-charge / Hospital Administration

Employment Type: Full-Time / Shift Duty

Location: Hospital

1. Job Purpose

To maintain, operate, repair and troubleshoot the hospital’s HVAC, air-conditioning and ventilation systems to ensure proper temperature, air quality and comfortable conditions for patients, staff and visitors.
1. Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain AC, HVAC and ventilation systems.
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of HVAC equipment.
- Check and maintain AHU, FCU, exhaust fans, fresh-air systems and ducting.
- Identify and repair electrical, mechanical and refrigeration-related faults.
- Check refrigerant pressure, temperature and system performance.
- Maintain proper temperature and ventilation in critical areas such as OT, ICU, isolation rooms and other clinical areas.
- Attend breakdown complaints and complete repairs promptly.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists and service reports.
- Coordinate with external AMC/service agencies when required.
- Follow hospital safety, infection-control and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment.
- Report major faults,



equipment damage and safety issues to the Maintenance In-charge.
- Follow electrical and workplace safety precautions at all times.

1. Required Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC), HVAC, Electrical or related field.
- Relevant hospital or commercial HVAC experience will be preferred.

1. Skills Required

- Good knowledge of HVAC and AC systems.
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read basic technical diagrams.
- Good problem-solving and maintenance skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and during emergency breakdowns.
- Teamwork and good communication skills.

1. Experience

Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred. Hospital experience will be an added advantage.

- HVAC system uptime and reliability.
- Timely preventive maintenance.
- Quick response to breakdown complaints.
- Proper maintenance documentation.
- Temperature and ventilation control in critical areas.
- Compliance with hospital safety and maintenance standards.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 per month
