Looking for HR & LABOUR COMPLIANCE
Position: HR & Labour Compliance Executive / Manager
Experience: 5-7 Years
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR skilled with strong hands-on experience in HR operations and labour compliances. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR activities, employee lifecycle processes, statutory compliances, payroll coordination, employee documentation, and ensuring adherence to applicable labour laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling core HR functions and coordinating with management, employees, payroll teams, consultants, and government/statutory authorities wherever required.
Key Responsibilities HR Operations
- Manage end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, employee documentation, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit formalities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Handle employee queries, grievances, attendance, leave, and HR-related requests.
- Prepare and maintain HR MIS, employee reports, and other management reports.
- Coordinate with employees and management on HR policies and procedures.
- Support performance management, employee engagement, and other HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Labour & Statutory Compliance
- Manage and monitor labour and statutory compliances applicable to the organization.
- Ensure timely compliance related to PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Gratuity, TDS and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable provisions under the Shops & Establishments Act, Industrial Disputes Act and other relevant labour laws.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, employee documentation, and compliance-related files.
- Coordinate with external consultants and statutory authorities for compliance-related matters.
- Track statutory due dates and ensure timely submission of returns, payments, and required documentation.
- Support labour-law audits, inspections, and statutory assessments.
- Identify compliance gaps and coordinate corrective actions.
- Keep management informed about important compliance requirements and changes affecting the organization.
Payroll & Employee Benefits
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing and validate payroll inputs.
- Verify attendance, leave, salary changes, deductions, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.
- Coordinate PF, ESI, Professional Tax and other payroll-related statutory requirements.
- Support employee perks administration and resolve related employee queries.
Recruitment & Employee Lifecycle
- Coordinate recruitment activities based on business requirements.
- Support candidate screening, interview coordination, offer documentation, and joining formalities.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Manage exit formalities, clearance, full & final settlement coordination, and relieving/experience documentation.
HR Policies & Documentation
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees are aware of applicable company policies and statutory requirements.
- Maintain proper HR documentation for audit and management requirements.
- Support implementation of POSH and other applicable workplace compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources will be an advantage.
- 57 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in an organization where the candidate has independently handled HR operations.
- Strong practical knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliances.
- Hands-on experience with PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Gratuity and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Good understanding of the Shops & Establishments Act and other applicable labour regulations.
- Experience in payroll coordination and employee documentation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and HRMS/HRIS systems.
- Ability to independently manage multiple HR activities and compliance deadlines.
Preferred Candidate Profile The preferred candidate should have practical, hands-on labour compliance experience, rather than only general HR operations or recruitment experience. Candidates who have independently handled statutory records, returns, compliance calendars, audits/inspections, payroll-related compliance, and coordination with labour/statutory authorities will be preferred.
