Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible HR Executive / HR & Compliance Executive to manage the complete HR function of our manufacturing facility.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment, employee onboarding, statutory and labour-law compliance, payroll coordination, attendance, employee records, HR policies, performance management, employee engagement and retention.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing HR operations for both plant and corporate/admin employees and should have practical experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Recruitment & Hiring

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant, technical, engineering, production, quality, maintenance, administration and corporate positions.
- Prepare manpower requirements in coordination with department heads.
- Source candidates through job portals, consultants, references, institutes and local recruitment channels.
- Conduct initial screening and coordinate interviews.
- Manage offer letters, appointment letters and joining formalities.
- Ensure proper background/reference verification wherever required.
- Maintain recruitment tracker and manpower plan.
- Develop strategies to reduce hiring time and improve quality of hiring.

2. Employee Onboarding & Documentation
- Complete joining formalities and maintain employee personnel files.
- Ensure all required documents are collected and verified.
- Conduct employee induction and orientation.
- Explain company rules, policies, attendance procedures and code of conduct.
- Ensure proper documentation of probation, confirmation, transfers and promotions.

3. Labour Law & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable central and state labour laws, employment regulations and statutory requirements.
- Maintain statutory registers, records and HR documentation.
- Coordinate statutory registrations, renewals, filings and inspections.
- Manage compliance relating to PF, ESIC, Skilled Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages and applicable labour compliances, as relevant to the organisation.
- Coordinate with labour-law consultants, government departments and statutory authorities.
- Ensure compliance requirements for contract labour and manpower agencies.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
- Keep management informed about changes in applicable labour laws and regulations.

4. Payroll & Salary Administration
- Manage monthly payroll preparation and payroll inputs.
- Verify attendance, overtime, leave, incentives, deductions and other salary components.
- Coordinate salary processing with the Accounts/Finance Department.
- Ensure accurate and timely salary disbursement.
- Manage PF, ESIC, Professional Tax and other applicable payroll-related statutory deductions and filings.
- Prepare salary statements,



payroll reports and management MIS.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee salary and personal information.

5. Attendance, Leave & Employee Records
- Maintain employee attendance and leave records.
- Monitor late coming, absenteeism, overtime and shift attendance.
- Maintain accurate employee master data.
- Ensure timely updates for new employees, resignations, transfers and changes in employee status.
- Develop systems for attendance and leave management.

6. HR Policies & Work Rules
- Develop, implement and maintain company HR policies and procedures.
- Establish policies covering:
- Attendance & working hours
- Leave
- Overtime
- Shift working
- Code of conduct
- Employee discipline
- Recruitment & onboarding
- Performance management
- Promotion & appraisal
- Grievance handling
- Workplace behaviour
- Health, safety and employee welfare
- Exit & full-and-final settlement
- Ensure employees understand and follow company policies.
- Regularly review policies to ensure they remain compliant with applicable laws and business requirements.

7. Employee Retention & Engagement
- Develop initiatives to improve employee retention and reduce attrition.
- Conduct employee feedback and engagement activities.
- Identify reasons for employee turnover and provide recommendations to management.
- Handle employee grievances and workplace concerns professionally.
- Maintain a positive and disciplined work environment.
- Support employee welfare and engagement programs.

8. Performance Management
- Coordinate employee appraisal and performance review processes.
- Assist department heads in setting employee KPIs.
- Track probation evaluations and confirmation.
- Maintain performance records.
- Support disciplinary and performance-improvement processes where required.

9. Employee Relations & Discipline
- Handle employee grievances and disputes.
- Maintain proper disciplinary procedures and documentation.
- Support management in issuing warnings, show-cause notices and other HR communications where required.
- Ensure disciplinary actions are handled fairly and in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Maintain confidentiality in sensitive employee matters.

10. Exit Management
- Manage resignation and employee exit procedures.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Coordinate notice-period requirements and handovers.
- Prepare and coordinate Full & Final Settlement with Accounts.
- Ensure recovery of company assets and documents.




- Issue relieving/experience/service documents as applicable.
- Analyse exit data and recommend measures to improve retention.

11. HR MIS & Management Reporting

Prepare regular HR reports covering:

- Total manpower
- Department-wise headcount
- Recruitment status
- Open positions
- Joining and attrition
- Attendance and absenteeism
- Overtime
- Payroll
- Employee turnover
- Leave utilisation
- Training
- Statutory compliance
- Employee grievances
- HR costs

Provide management with regular HR updates and recommendations.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in HR will be an advantage.
- 3–7 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in manufacturing/industrial organisations.
- Strong practical knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory HR compliance.
- Experience in payroll and employee administration.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and HRMS/payroll software.
- Experience dealing with statutory authorities and labour-law consultants will be preferred.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in manufacturing, engineering, electrical/cable, automotive, industrial or similar plants will be preferred.

Experience managing both blue-collar/workmen and white-collar employees will be highly desirable.

Important Requirement The candidate must be capable of taking ownership of the complete HR function, rather than only recruitment.

The person will be expected to work closely with Management, Accounts & Finance, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Administration and department heads to build a professional HR system for the organisation.

Strong practical knowledge of statutory compliance, payroll, labour laws and manufacturing HR operations is mandatory.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
